This segment of the line is active rail, and currently operated by the CSX Railroad. You get a lot of reward for visiting here, as the Forestville Depot on the eastern side of Bristol presents a scene that makes you forget what century you are in.

c.1900 ticket to Forestville or Bristol. I'm getting this date from comparing the half-ticket to other tickets on eBay with a similar format. The legend under the railway logo probably reads something like "GOOD FOR ONE PASSAGE TO STATION ON NEW YORK, NEW HAVEN & HARTFORD NAMED AT THE TOP OF THIS TICKET" if the others on eBay are any clue. The ticket would be validated with a station agent's stamp- if this one ever was validated, it must have been on the half that is now missing.
