Mile 88: East Hartford, Connecticut
4 15 Minute USGS Quadrangles from the 1890s showing the HP&F east of Hartford
The HP&F/NY&NE/Highland Division tracks are active in the vicinity of the old East Hartford Depot. There is a small yard at the junction with the East Windsor Secondary, and since that trackage is active, it means these rails are because they and the bridge across the Connecticut River just west of here are the connection to the big yard in Hartford. Currently the operator is Connecticut Southern, although the Central New England Railway has operating rights over these as well.

It also shows the beauty of the station that was here, that was architecturally related to Forrestville, but was even more grandiose. (8/2016.)
